Didn't ride today. Spent it cleaning bike after 1700 miles in the last 3 days. Wondered around southern Utah and down to the North Rim. Back up to Hanksville then come home yesterday.

The Carolina Girl and I took Belinda for a ride today. She ran great and is always a blast to ride.

We ran up to Wilkesboro and took Hwy 18 North to the BRP and Freebornes where we enjoyed lunch.

There was a nice crowd there today and the weather could not have been nicer. After lunch we rode north on the BRP to Daughton Park. That is as far as you can go due to road closure. It's a three year project completely replacing a stretch of roadway that collapsed.

On the way home we stopped at Crossroads where I picked up some waterproof lightweight boots for an upcoming trip.

These boots / shoes are super comfortable.

281 miles round trip to Seneca Rocks. Beautiful ride, hit a band of rain for like 5 mins and on our ride back we were behind the storm - we weren’t rained on but the roads were wet.

Pulled the Sportster out of the shed and rode for about an hour, 55 miles. There's something about a simple machine and the wide open road. Stopped is Saratoga, Wyoming and headed back home.

Wide open spaces.

Historic Hotel Wolf.

184miles.
Rode out to Shelton Washington for MotoAmerica at The Ridge again this year. A friend from the PNW Riders discord had an extra ticket, no one took it so I tagged along.
Was really fun to meet up with some rider friends from Portland. I lost a cat ear on my helmet on the way there though. sad day for my nekomimi helmet.
On the way back, bike hit overheat temps and I tried to find a way around the backed up as **** freeway. Got my bike stuck in the process. A guy in a truck stopped to help me get it out.
A 131lb gal is not in any position to move such a heavy bike around.
Got home though. Fun day.

Seems like an opportunity to right a tiny mistake. Shouldn't FranBunny really have usagi mimi on your helmet?

They'd cause a lot more drag, sadly. I'd have to figure out a way to get around that.
Otherwise yeah I'd love to have bunnyears on my helmet instead.
Those neko ears create some substantial drag at 110+. I can only imagine how much worse a set of bunnyears can be.

Curious what was the outside temperature, did bike shut down or you just noticed temp on the PV gauge ? Kind of surprised that FB would overheat, I've been stuck in traffic on my RG in upper 90 and I think I was overheated much more than the bike

Floppy bunny ears that don't stick up?
