Rode about 550 miles this weekend on my 07 Goldwing. My wife loves that back seat. It is hands down the most uncomfortable bike for me to ride. Can’t wait to get back on the road king!
Not that many....maybe 40-45 miles total. But I led our American Legion's Memorial Day Parade. Wish I had a picture of me and the bike with my 3x5 US Flag flying.
My granddaughter made the ride with me today. About 120 miles, ride, lunch and then.....
Only 8 miles today. Went to send off my son's friend who enlisted in the US Navy. Tomorrow he's off to Great Lakes Naval Training Center. Later this month, another friend is heading off to Fort Jackson, SC for his basic training. 3 years ago another friend went off to Parris Island, and my son went to Ft Leonard Wood. All great kids.
Turned 78 on May 24. Rode from Henderson, NV to Cayucos, CA, stayed two nights, then rode back home.
Total mileage: 948.
However, I left my Softail Standard in the garage and rode my BMW R1200R on the trip. Mile after mine of freeway. The BMW is much more comfortable on the superslab. Cruised with traffic on Interstate 15 - 85-90 mph.Got passed by an Audi SUV going at least 30 mph faster than me.
I pulled the Factory 47 bars back in-line with the forks. They were a few degrees ahead and I wanted to see how this compares since I like that look better. Crazy but it felt pretty much the same. I’ll give them a few more miles and decide.
Met up after a tumultuous couple of weeks, seen some usual faces, a few new and felt new to me, 150 miles or so, went a couple miles down a dead end, so…rode to Yoders deli somewhere in eastern Tennessee. I am still figuring out my bearings, great sammich!
