First sunny day here all week. Got about a 15-20 mile shakedown run on the new tires, new brakes, and internal TPMS system.

Everything worked great, pressure of the front tire increased by 2-3 PSI and the rear went up by 6, according to the system.

 

I put about 100 miles on my Sporty today. That makes 140 towards my 500 mile oil change After doing a Screaming Eagle 1200 kit.

132 miles today. Meet a childhood friend/classmate and we rode for about 3.5 hours...

 

227 miles yesterday. 436 miles in past 6 days. Visiting in SW Florida. Now have 855 on the new 2022 Heritage. May have to do first service (1000) this week before I head back to Indiana. Feels great to get some riding in.

 

238 miles through Appalachia yesterday. Took 68 up through Tellico, 411 through Maryville, down the north end of 129 to the Foothills Pkwy, then over the mountains down into Cherokee. Glorious ride except for near Gatlinburg which was a complete clusterf*ck of spring breakers. The Pan America is such a wonderful bike for these roads.

 

Todays ride should be about 200 miles. We leave in an hour.

 

Did a quick 80 miles yesterday running over to the dealer and back to pick up parts. Today, I woke up to 3" of heavy wet white ****! Bummer, no miles today.

 

Got in about 120 or so today.
Breakfast with a good buddy, then a trip over Ortega Highway (74) to Lake Elsinore.
Fast run home on the freeway.
Construction is still an issue on Ortega & probably will be for another year or more.

Bike got 28MPG today… just can’t do better without an adjustment to the PV3 and/or a trip to the dyno I guess.
