90 miles today to drop off some Poker Run fliers, and to get some pics for the Touring Photo Challenge. Windy, cloudy and some sprinkles but temps 68-70, so not too bad.
A very pleasant 58 mile for coffee at the Benger Gardens cafe today. Incredible garden with massive hanging baskets above the large slab tables in the gazebo seating area.
Yesterday I rode 126miles with my boyfriend on the back so we could go out on a trip we planned before he came to visit me in the USA.(He lives in Austria)
We were planning on going to Cle Elum and back after getting lunch at a diner there. But someone made bad choices and crashed their semi truck on I-90 east bound and blocked the freeway for 10 hours, meaning we couldn't get to Cle Elum, so we stopped at Snoqualmie peak and got lunch, and hung around for a while, then decided to head home.
Then today, last full day he'd be here, decided to go for one last ride across town to get lunch together at IHOP. Only 5miles.

Came on here to bitch, moan, and complain about how the weather's just not cooperating. Getting in any miles just isn't in the cards it seems. But then I saw FranBunny's post and feel like a wuss. Not sure what temps you guys were in, but I finally had to face the facts/truth that I just can't ride in temps less than 40*F anymore. Even with all the gear. It just replaces being frozen with being terribly uncomfortable in all that crap. I also find that I'm sore AF after riding in all that garb. I'm pretty sure it's not the restriction from all the layers that's causing the pains, but more than likely I'm tensing up underneath all the clothing and leathers. It's just uncomfortable and I hate it!
Anyway, to my original point, it's been a while since a ride. Typical early spring in mid-MO. It'll be mid-50's to 60+ degrees during the work week, but come Thurs/Fri the temps drop and the snow comes. Ending with highs between 15* and 25* come Sat/Sun . Then warms up again mid-week while we slave away at work. I am so ready for this BS to come to an end!!!! Y'all have fun out there. I'm stuck in the house living vicariously thru you!!!
