South Port Beach Trip in February 2023
Last weekend we rode with friends down to South Port on the Cape Fear River for a quick overnight trip. Stopped at *** HD in Asheboro on the way down. The Carolina Girl was happy to find a Christmas store and we stopped at Beach House HD on the ride back home.

The weather man was predicting 80 degree temps, sunny and windy.
A last minute email came from our Hog Chapter for a ride. We were in for sure.
We rolled out at 7:45 am and it was 65 degrees. We did see 74 degrees during the day, but also found a little rain up in Souther Virginia. We rode Piper Gap up to Galax for lunch, then the BRP North, down Hwy 52, across Ward’s Gap and back up Orchards Gap to the BRP North again. Then we leaned right back down Willis Gap Rd.
Total mileage was 239
Great day with friends with just a light jacket and jeans In February.
