Rode a little over 150 miles on the Sunday Polar Bear ride. Weather was a balmy 34 degrees F, and the electric gear (jacket & gloves) was on high!

Drove 50 so far today, 100 yesterday. It felt a little cooler than the stated 60°F this morning, but still an awesome early morning drive to work, only a few miles of fog.
Since hurricane IAN, the traffic, particularly large commercial trucks and 18-wheelers, has been heavy morning and afternoon. I got trapped behind a left lane cruiser 18-wheeler slowly passing another 18-wheeler in the right lane this morning and a large rock or something nailed my right shin. Luckily, most of it was absorbed by the knee/upper leg armor in my Drystar riding pants.
Lots of left lane cruisers and texters down here right now. I don't see how you Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana folks survive.

Made a run to Bucee’s today, got about 100 miles in. Believe it or not it was hot outside! On the way we passed a truck stop and started getting interference from some of the trucker’s CB radios. For a few seconds we had a conversation with a few truckers, and the last part I heard was “Hey do you think it could be that guy getting on the interstate?”

Met up with the Backstreet Boys for a backroads ride to the Cold Spring Depot for lunch. A cold but enjoyable 197-mile ride.
