Yesterday: A GLORIOUS ride through the Laurentian mountains in Quebec, with a trip to my favourite deli in Montreal: Reuben's for IMHO the best smoked meat sammich on earth! Put around 430 miles in Reaper's saddle.

Cheers!

As stated above (post 1997), the ride continues. Up to 1954 miles on trip meter in 5 days. 400+ mile days Sat and Sun from McKinney TX to Vicksburg MS and ow in Sikeston MO. I'll probably make a "short ride" today and only go to Indianapolis (about 340) instead of getting back to Fort Wayne (about 450) due to rain up there later today. I guess I deserve an easy day.

Only 40. But that’s ok. Being an OTR trucker. I’ll take it. Be local next 2 weeks. I have a trainee. So I’m going to ride every chance I get. Surgery in a month. Ride out to get me a Shroom and Swiss Burger, fries and a Guinness. New wheels on. Can’t really call it a Fatboy anymore. But for the tank emblems.

About 5 miles, after washing the Heritage and taking a ride to be sure everything is well dried. It still rides well and is comfortable.

I just did one of my usual pre-work lunch runs today like always when weather is nice. About 80 miles round trip for some chicken tenders and relaxation before the "babysitting" starts.

The work parking lot doesn't make for a very scenic photo

Well I didn't make it to Indianapolis due to heavy rain there Monday PM so I stopped in Terre Haute. Only 262 miles Monday and 213 miles Tuesday before I returned home. Total trip miles 2429 per the "B" trip odometer. Pretty cool yesterday when I left Terre Haute (about 54F). Added three states to my "Visited" list: Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana in the 7 days I was riding.

We have a great stretch of weather so I've been riding to work each day. Nothing exciting, in fact traffic is a pain. 75 miles round trip per day. I'm heading to upstate NY tomorrow, for various reasons I'm taking the car. But I am going to scout out a route from Wake Forest to Culpeper, VA that is all back roads. Planning for a future trip on the bike to Uncle Elder's BBQ in Culpeper.

Monday - Sept. 12th

Rode down to Medicine Hat (from Calgary) to trade in the 2021 FLTRK, and took the long way home (Oyen/Sylvan Lake/Calgary) on this. ~960 km (596 miles)

Adding the bike made the parking lot much more scenic!
