170 miles up scenic Hwy 7 through Jessieville, Winona state park and Hollis. Came back down to Hwy 5 to Little Rock and back to Hot Springs. At lease the temps have dipped below the 90's. Come on fall! Looking forward to cooler weather.

Logged 212 miles yesterday and ate at Boomer's Grill in Holton, KS. If you're ever in northeast Kansas (a very popular tourist and vacation destination!) you must stop and eat there.

Beautiful areas. I have fond memories of burning up those roads as a young man on a Honda CB450.

Rode over 540 miles this weekend. Had the yearly Home Town Rally here in Cheesehead land . First time doing poker run and yeah it was fun and not fun . After running to the six dealers that were on the list and ending at the museum Sunday morning to get a hat, pin, and can cover . After all the chasing around , I am some what disappointed. Now having said that I would counter and say now that I am a Harley owner and a HOG member , what a crazy party to say the least . Can't wait till next year for the 125th . Was cool talking to a nice couple that rode in from Minnesota to be part of it . The vendors , music, food , and all the crazy people, what a weekend. Rode to Sun Praire for the Midget races Sunday afternoon but got rained out which was the low point of the weekend . Just hope the Mrs will be ready to join me next year . Good day .

Default Beat the Rain Ride

Tuesday 9-6-2022

29 mile Dinner Cruise

The rain as returned and it was a total wash out on Labor Day. After work today The sun was shining with a promise of rain this evening. I told the Carolina Girl to saddle up for a quick “Beat the Rain” dinner run.

We headed East toward Bermuda Run / Tanglewood. Todays ride was on Belinda with the tunes rockin. We stopped at Chang Thai and Jimmy and Nova took great care of us as usual. The Carolina Girl was wanting Sushi but I was not feeling it tonight.

We walked out and wow, the sky was black. Instead of two lane back roads, we hit I-40 and rolled between 80 to 85 mph and got home before the rain hit. It was like night time at 7:30pm and the rain is now here.

Well 29 miles is not much, but we sure enjoyed it!

Rained here in Hendersonville NC all weekend and yesterday. Got to catch up on the riding. Glad you two had a great time. Love that Lexington Q. Jimmy's was my all time favorite. Speedy's a close second.

None since Saturday
For the second time (after the two Covid shots and two boosters) contracted the "bug".
Last time I had no symptoms at all but this time around I've been having "chills, body aches and increased temperature" but I'm "on-the-mend".
Looks like I'll be confined to the house for a week or so,

Arrived home today (ipad was packed for the last couple days).
Monday 744 miles, Tuesday 460 miles (cut the day short triple digit temps) today 248.
Trip was over 20 days and took in 6 states, with temps ranging from 40 to around 110.
I was able to see most of my family and all the grandkids (great trip) 👍
