Zero on weekends. Hot as hell and a sandstorm. Tomorrow will ride to workplace anyway.

Morning duties around the house, then for an hour ride. Seen winery places never knew existed lol. That inlet there in the right hand top corner is the entrance to the Welland Canal that moves ships from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. Just some info lol.

For us, 116 miles. Jumped on the trike and pointed it "somewhere". After 58 miles, we saw a nice place for lunch -pulled in had a great time and rode back home.

Looking forward to doing this again soon

Sunday August 14th

147 Miles

Rode North on Highway 421, Junior Johnson Hwy, through Wilkesboro to Boone, NC. When we crossed the Eastern Continental Divid at 3100 feet the sky was black above us with a little light ahead. Our original destination Was the Pedalin’s Pig for BBQ near Banner Elk. A quick look at the radar and that is a no go. Rain is rolling in quickly from Johnson City and Mountain City, TN.

So we stopped In Boone at Willie Brooks BBQ and it was fantastic!

We left in the dry but the rain caught us. We rode in it all the way back to the BRP in short sleeves and jeans. We stopped at Crossroads HD and the rain caught us again. We ran in it almost to I-77 and then the skies lightened up and we were dry by the time we got back home.

Great ride, the stereo on the SGS is AWESOME and the Carolina girl loved our adventure.

Home made daily! $9 bucks a slice, but big enough for 2 to 4 people!
