QC, my wife and I are returning from a trip to Glacier NP. We’ll part after an overnight in Denver and continue on to Texas.

Today was just a short and eye opening ride ... my neighbors daughter is having her grad party this afternoon so had to go uptown to the bank to get some cash and decided to ride up to the local advance for a 2amp blade fuse and holder - and there lays my mistake .........

Unbeknown to me Nth Hornell was having its annual "Yard Sales" today. Now Seneca St isn't that wide but wide enough for cars to parallel park (safely) on one side of the road - not today though, they wee parking every where and any where??? Oh well, it is only about a mile long so shouldn't be a problem right??? Ahh Huh ...

First of, some idiot in a Pick Up pulls out of a side road in front of me, is completely blocking my lane and half way into his so what does the idiot do? He comes to a dead stop and backs up to let me go - hmm, the brakes on the bike aren't that bad after all ????

Next, some "...OOOOHHHHHHHHH I gotta have that (whatever)..." women throws open her door - apparently not knowing that looking first is a big plus and must and that's what those mirrors are REALLY for - and I nearly end up on her lap in the front of her little buzz box, and she had the audacity to yell at me and tell me to watch where I was going

Okay - just a half mile to go, almost there ...... next another moron who doesn't know what those big shiny, reflective things on the outside of his doors are for, pulls out in front of me and takes of like the world is about to end and he has to save his god knows what first!!!!

Finally out of Nth Hornell - by the way, what I have described really did happen and is a rareity, normally the car and pickup drivers around here are pretty good as they all either ride or know someone who does. So, I get out of Hornell altogether and back on the highway home, happily following a guy in front of me at about 60 and out of no where he steps on the brakes as I catch a deer diddly bopping across the four lane in front of him out of the corner of my eye. Ah, so I figure if he has braked hard - maybe, just maybe, I should follow suit and do likewise

A very good reason for following a vehicle no closer than two or three car lengths.

So all in all - I had a fun ride and apparently my heart medication works, how about you guys???

And .... all that in no more than 30 miles

Great ride there. Beats the TOTD imo. Well. 2 different rides. I the that road. Done it a few times.

Had the Fatboy out for a short 20 mile breakfast ride. Then went and got the RGS and went to a local big truck show then a 15 mile ride home. Getting ready to start my first hip replacement and riding right now about cripples me. Those 2 short rides and I’m hobbled up.

Put on a little over a 100 miles today and didn’t even leave the county.

Stopped and my local dealership, gave blood and ordered a rear tire for the Heritage.

About 100 miles. Took the Road King out, did a coffee run up the Coast Highway using the new Badlander seat, breaking it in. Really had a nice day riding.
