50 on the Roadglide and a quick 30ish on the Fatboy. Needed to ride them both. Hitting the road tomorrow and had to meal prep and pack up. Takes a bit when ya slow smoke and grill your meals. But I got out.
We rode 197 miles today on the SGS. Lots of Two lane back roads up to Mt. Airy. NC, and then up Hwy 52 to the BRP. Ourfirst stop on the BRP had us meeting two fellow HD riders from Cleveland, Ohio. We talked with them for about 30 minutes. They were riding to Cherokee and want ed be there tonight on the BRP all the way. Sorry guys, it would be midnight before you get there. Not recommended. We helped them get a room at Little Switzerland Inn, and then they followed up to Freebornes and we bought them lunch. Nothing better than paying it forward and sharing some NC hospitality! It was really nice meeting these guys and helping them plan their travels.
130 miles. Did not take my rain gear or any jacket. It was cold and hit some rain. Lesson learned, always have rain gear in the saddle bag along with some down jacket.
Will be visiting Harley store this week, time to invest in some nice jacket that is water proof and keeps you warm.
