Returned back from Oman. Three days roundtrip with local sightseeing, nearly 910 miles. Amazing scenery, but terrible winds, and at least no rain.

 

I got a couple of hundred miles in yesterday. Took the long way and back to the coast with a group of likeminded individuals. It was 37F but the roads were clear and dry and we all wrapped up warm.

 

50 miles this morning, 36°F. Could have used some heated gloves, but I managed.

 

I took a nice ride on the Cumberland Plateau on great twisty roads. After several extremely cold days started out at 38 and got up to 58. I great 68 miles.

 

It was mid-30°Fs here Monday morning, mid-40°Fs Tuesday and mid-50°Fs this morning. Highs 70°F, 75°F and today is supposed to get to 80°F.

Riding a 100 miles a day, hopefully the the forecast for next few weeks showing a 48°F and some low 50°F mornings and the rest mid-50°F to 60°F mornings holds true.

 

Rode about 53 miles to take photos for the Photo Challenge in the Touring models section. It was about 70 degrees and overcast but it was great riding weather!

 

Feb. 1st. I rode 40 miles. On new to me 2007 road king classic. I bought it December 20, 2021.

 

245 today. Rode east for some NC ‘cue at Skylight Inn in Ayden NC

I haven't ridden since Christmas day. We had some warm days in early January but I had Covid. So yesterday I took half day off for "mental health" and rode from Wake Forest to Greenville/Winterville, then to Rocky Mount, then stopped at an oyster bar in Nashville for my buddies 60 b'day dinner. Then back home. 180 miles. It was warm (up to 70) but cloudy and very windy. Too bad my wife couldn't go. Maybe next time.
