Just got rid of her, but my Crossbones had a nice balance of black and chrome.

I hear what you're saying, I wanted to do the same so I went with a black RB racing LSR pipe with chrome heat shields.. I kind of mixed it up just to break up too much chrome like you're saying..

If you asked my brother in law what his favorite color is, he would admittedly say, "chrome!". LoL

Me, not so much. I'm not against it, but I hear what you're saying about having to wear welding goggles to look at your bike in the sunlight. One of the things that endeared me to my 2006 Road King was it had a nice blend of chrome bits and black accents.
Funny story: Right after I purchased the bike, several people mentioned that I could sell the black crash bars and get chrome ones. THAT's one of the reasons I liked the bike!!!!! LoL.

I have since added a few more blackened bits to the bike and I'm now trying to figure out where that line is between going too far one way or the other. I don't want a murdered-out vehicle, and my sensitive eyes can't handle a bike dipped in chrome. Somewhere, there can be a happy medium. I'm going to try and creep up to that point slowly.
As many have said, "make it yours." It'll be perfect.

I like it in my opinion adds some contrast. When it comes to bars I always recommend you take a look at wild 1 chubbys. For exhaust I always recommend you take a look at v&h. Good luck brother

I put a polished black derby cover on my sportster, xl1200c, black sissy bar, and luggage rack. Still has the the chrome exhaust, bars, fork and wheels. I like the contrast.

Here's some before and after pics. I don't have the deby cover side available, but will update.
