I feel you. Your just Venting . I just don't know why people are getting so "****" about it.

 

hell if I saw a guy riding a ricer decked out in HD clothes , I'd be giving him a hard time to , probably more so than that guy did. wearing H.D. clothing doesn't mean a person OWNS one , specially when they're riding an antique rice popper

I agree with your statement here. I don't define myself as a person by any material thing. At the same time, I try not to stereotype or explain the attitudes of others (i.e., how big a jerk they are) by the type of bike they ride. I think a jerk on a Harley would be just as much a jerk on a BMW, Honda, or whatever and vice versa.

 

Don't let someone else control your emotions and ruin your day. F' the guy! There are a-holes riding every kind of bike.

 

There's a couple of sides to this story.

MANY Harley riders are basically poseur RUBS that think they are hardcore outlaw bikers. I think someone did a poll that basically said that the general public sees Harley riders mostly as RUBS, and Harley riders are the only people that see Harley riders as 'Outlaw Bikers'. So, this guy probably wanted to throw his 'hardcoreness' around. I'm guessing he's really not hardcore, probably a dentist or something thatrides 800 miles a year...all in chaps.

But, in defense of thedentist-chaps-RUB guy, a lot of people (including me) don't have respect for bikes (or cars) that come from Japan. I realize Jap bike guys are brother bikers, but damn it we should all try to buy American where possible. HD's are one of the few things made in America anymore. I don't out of my way to dis Honda riders, but I'm not gonna buddy up to'em at the stoplight either.

 

I think Steel City said it," The bike is notwhat I am, it's what I ride". I love my Harley but I wouldn't mind finding a '82 Yama Midnight Special 850, old shaft drive, top heavy bugger. Just to play with. Wouldn't get the wife back on it though. She say's she still remembers the pain of the seat.

I agree, picked up my gaskets and filter for servicing my '07 Ultra yesterday, looked down at the gasket package. "assembled in USA, parts made in China."
I just let out a long siiigghhh.

 

For your punishment you will have to polish everyones chrome.
