I`d buy one as a second bike and if I really liked it then keep it as my only bike. I have always liked the idea of a dual purpose motorcycle. Honda`s African Twin is a looker.

This is the competition for this bike. There are a lot of features on this thing. Riding modes, suspension adjustability, etc. $18.5K. The Triumph Tiger XCa is a bit more expensive, but you get a lot for your money.

If Harley comes in with a feature sparse offering at $27K, it will be another flop.

I think it will be more like $1,200 for the mud flap. The 'hardware kit' to attach the mud flap will be $200..

Yes, I'm thinking about what it would need to be priced at to be attractive to me and other European riders. Adventure bikes have been top sellers over here for over a decade. Europe's a bigger market than the US for this type of bike. I had a 1200GS in 2009 and they had been popular for years before that. Regularly the no.1 seller in the UK over 600cc.

The latest GS 1250 is £13,705 out the door, all taxes, registration etc. included. Multiply that by 1.3 for the exchange rate = $17,110. That's before negotiating discounts and freebies. You can spec it up from there, but that's the start point. The Tenere is about £9,200. ($12k).

I want one, can't be any worse off-road than my Road King. Looks like my Wolfman tank bag would work too.
