I thought the same thing. Then again, if owners are like BMW GS riders, most of these bikes won't see much more than an occasional dirt road. Also, when it's time for new tires, owners will likely move to a street tire with off-road ability.

An Adventure bike with street-oriented tires becomes a corner-storming supermoto.

More fun than should be allowed.

I think hd did their homework and specifically sought out to make it lighter and more powerful than the gs which is the top dog of the adv world. They know they won't out perform the africa twin or ktm so I think they had their cross hairs directly on bmw

Edit: but for the record, I wasn't comparing the bikes, I was comparing the operator to Harley BOD. My guess is they'll miss horribly.
