I thought the same thing. Then again, if owners are like BMW GS riders, most of these bikes won't see much more than an occasional dirt road. Also, when it's time for new tires, owners will likely move to a street tire with off-road ability.

I think hd did their homework and specifically sought out to make it lighter and more powerful than the gs which is the top dog of the adv world. They know they won't out perform the africa twin or ktm so I think they had their cross hairs directly on bmw
bad operator has nothing to do with it, if we are going to keep it in the gun realm it would be more like comparing a mg42 and a m60. One was reversed engineered from the other and came out 20 years later just a little better
