I'm glad that HD isn't trying to con their customers into thinking that buying a Pan America will turn them into hard core off road riders.

As an aside - does it seem like the front suspension has like 3 inches of remaining travel with the rider on?

Oh I don't know......pretty impressive riding for the terrain. That rocky climb would have a lot of guys on their asses. And I could never drift my GS like that.

I'm a former dirt biker so what the Pan America does in the video doesn't look too rough to me. I learned on "short travel suspension" bikes where your body took over when the bike ran out of suspension.
I didn't like drifting my GSs either. They felt too top heavy, like they wanted to high side.

My point was that in that video, the Pan America is always on some kind of road, not in the rough stuff that some of the other manufacturers show their ADV bikes in.
I'm a former dirt biker so what the Pan America does in the video doesn't look too rough to me. I learned on "short travel suspension" bikes where your body took over when the bike ran out of suspension.
