I've owned Beemers, Harleys and Jap bikes together for a lot of years; it works.
100 HP seems to me to be the standard HP for "Liter" bikes these days, doesn't it?

Harley sells bolt-on performance that could easily be built into the stock engine at no additional cost to the MoCo.
After doing a 95" w/cams and heads build just to give my Road King adequate power for highway riding, I decided I wouldn't do that again.

Harley sells bolt-on performance that could easily be built into the stock engine at no additional cost to the MoCo.

Kawasaki Versys =120bhp, 1000SX = 140, most of the 1,000cc sports bikes are 170 to 215bhp now. Harley 48...? Even a Tenere 700 has more power than my 107 (I think 75bhp to 68) Different type of ride. I had fireblades, Ducati 1098, Hayabusa etc. when I was younger. Fun for track days. Had some lucky breaks on the road and saw reason. Want to ride differently now. I still scrape the hero blobs, but at 60mph, not 100+. Plenty for road riding. I think the factory pitched the 107 performance (engine, chassis and brakes) just about right. I agree the bigger engines should be available stock, for those that want them. Crying shame, the waste of building the stock motor and throwing 20% of it away for a subsequent kit. Just do it once. Less profit for the factory and dealers that way.

I had an '86 GSXR 1100 several years ago. I rode it for a few years, had several close calls but no crashes, got pulled over twice but no tickets. I miss the feel of that bike accelerating and stretching my arms the way it did but I know I could get down a twisty road quicker on my BMW R9T than I could on that old Gixxer.

What is the average ticket to do a Stage 4 install? 10 hrs X shop rate? How is this proced?
