My first bike, completely new to motorcycling... here is what I bought so far

Bike = 2007 1200 Nightster bought last sunday



Helmet = Harley



Jacket = Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 (this is the exact one)



I have a pair of nice mountain biking gloves I was going to use.
Might buy a set of HD Boots or just use my old Doc Martens
Also, still need to buy some goggles... Hitting the harley shop after work tonight.

What do you think? Will the blue jacket clash too much with the orange in the bike? (I know in reality it doesnt matter much...)

Anything else im missing?

I think you will find yourself more in jeans and a T shirt then all that other stuff.


And tell me more about that 67 mustang in the background.

 

Nice bike. I've never used HD boots, and almost always were Doc Marten boots or some Army Surplus footwear. You shouldn't have any trouble.

I can't match socks, so you're on your own with the colors.

I really like those nightsters, trying to talk my wife into one so I can ride it. Congrats andgood luck, you have a great bike. As far as what you wear, that is a personal deal. To me- bike is excellent, the helmet is fine, the jacket....not so much. It's pretty and all but I like a black jacket. Now go get yourself some shades and fingerless (black) gloves andyou're ready!

 

Wow when did going for a ride mean dressing out of ll bean. nice bike but you don't need all of that. just wear long pants any kind of over the ankle boot a pair of wal-mart sun or shooting glasses and a lid if needed

 

Nitesters are quite cool.

 

Wearing gear does not make you a newbie. With that said, wearing a blue jacket like that on your Nightster may not get you any ladies!

 

from an artistic view, blue is the compliment of orange, you coulduse an orange bandana or sumpthin' to tie it all into an attractive outfit
