I love your bike! If I could convince my wife I need yet another bike, it would be either a Nightster or Fat Bob.
I'm not crazy about the jacket color, I'm a black and gray kind of guy, but then, I'm old.

Enjoy the Nightster and welcome to the forum.

Awesome bike. Just go out and enjoy it. All the gear and extras willkeep accumulating as long as you own a bike. Ignore whoever said to get rid of the Harley graphics. You ride a Harley; be proud of it.

Also, for the money you spend on a Harley helmet, go get yourself a better one for less cash that doesn't say HD on it.
It's interesting. I found that the price difference wasn't always as bad as I would have expected. I wanted to get an HJC modular helmet, but I couldn't find one anywhere locally and I really did not want to buy a helmet I had not tried on. Harley has a version of that helmet with a very simple graphic that was a competative price with other places I had seen online, and any extra I paid was worth it to not worry about having to return it if the fit sucked.

As for the jacket and whatnot, sheesh, a lot of "safety" haters out there. Since I just started riding a bit over a year ago I made a "vow" to myself that I would at least wear a full face helmet and armor the first year. I'll admit I didn't go for a colorful jacket for summer, but did want to go non-black since a lighter color seemed like a good idea in the Texas sun, so I went with light grey.

In any case, now that my year is up I'm looking at getting a shorty for summer riding on the local roads to work. I'll probably still wear the armor and full face on the highway, though.

Check out Scorpion helmets for good quality and good deals. Also, I just got a 3/4 DOTfrom Daytona Helmets for the summer, and it is smaller than my 1976 Shoei so not so much bobble head action. Great price.(no affiliation to either of themthem, just use their products) I have no problems whatsoever with protective gear. In fact I don't have problems with Harley gear either. I've got their rain jacket and I love it. I just think that you can get more bang for your buck when it comes to helmets. As far as the jacket goes. I just feel like it clashes with that bike. That's just my opinion. Don't listen to me.I'm sure I wear and do things that people think are silly all the time.

Someone suggested hanging out for awhile before you spend any more money on gear. Good suggestion.

Nice Bike!!
