from an artistic view, blue is the compliment of orange, you could use an orange bandana or sumpthin' to tie it all into an attractive outfit
ride safe man!!

My first bike, completely new to motorcycling... here is what I bought so far
Bike = 2007 1200 Nightster bought last sunday
Helmet = Harley
Jacket = Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 (this is the exact one)
I have a pair of nice mountain biking gloves I was going to use.
Might buy a set of HD Boots or just use my old Doc Martens
Also, still need to buy some goggles... Hitting the harley shop after work tonight.
What do you think? Will the blue jacket clash too much with the orange in the bike? (I know in reality it doesnt matter much...)
Anything else im missing?

To each, his own. Personally to only thing I buy at the deal are items you can't get anywhere else. Can't see (pardon the pun) paying $60.00 for goggles when Wally-World has a good pair for $12.00. Spend your $$$ on extras for the bike. Just my .02

The bike is great looking. Wear what you feel comfortable in. However, if you put a brown vinyl top on a red '67, you gotta problem matching stuff. The best pair of riding boots I've had were Doc Martens. I don't wear gloves or a jacket unless the weather dictates. If you plan on riding in the cold weather, get a pair of leather chaps. You can spend $300 on a pair at the Harley house or get a set just as good from a rally vendor, on line or at an independent shop in your area. Congratulations on your new bike.

I'm must just beold& simple, cause I thought all one needed besides the bike is jeans, boots, t-shirt, shades, & helmet. Come winter a black leather coat.
Nice bike, congratulations!

Dang I love that bike.
Those nightsters are cool as heck.
Now, about the gear: wear it.
I shivered a little when you said you were completely new to motorcycling and gota 1200 nightster.
Screw the fashion show worries or those who put the look before safety. Wear every piece of gear you can get.
Oh...and take an MSF course if you haven't already.

Give the guy a break, he's excited about his bike...... they're just yankin' your chain myuserid.Wear what you like, Harley boots are very comfortable (made by Wolverine) and will outlast the Doc Martens. The Nightster is a cool looking bike, as for gear, you'll find things you like and dislike "after" you've bought them, used themand can't return them...............just the nature of the beast

first off - sweet ride! congratulations and welcome to the biker world.
2- two words: black jacket
3- stay away from the stealer as much as feasible
4- stick around, we can help you save (actually spendthriftly)tons of money and avoid many a frustration.
again welcome
