Default Battery. 2 years sittin

Would a battery that hasn't been cranked/used in a couple years even though it's been on a trickle charger the whole time go dead?

Yup. And especially on a trickle charger, rather than a battery tender.

Yes, probability is it's dead. They are cheap - get a new one!

I have an 11 year old battery on a 1950s sports car that's done 3,000 miles since 1985. I shove it on a battery tender for a week about twice a year. Starts the car OK so far. Batteries have their own rules.

If you're staying local, might be OK.

Put a decent charge in it and have it tested. Batteries can be junk out of the box.

I'd have to look at it but it's a Harley branded battery device. Will go check and post back as to which model and whether or not it was a trickle charger or tender.

its a 100.00 insurance policy not to worry about it. Batteries, Cables and Tires I lean conservative on..

Cheap??????? 175 for touring batteries.

Sure they can, but might not. Try it and find out. I parked a bike for 2 years that I was pissed at, starting it once a year, and it was fine. I put on charge perodically.
