Rain Up My Nose

Rain Up My Nose
I just can't quite riding for the year yet. So I got up this morning and saw rain, and I thought what the hell. Strapped on my raingear, face warmer, and my MP3 player, and away I went to work.
It was raining so hard rain actually blew up my nose! Lucky for me it's dried out a bit by now, but I've been cold all day long! Just can't quite riding yet, washed her all up nice already.

RE: Rain Up My Nose
I've ridden in the rain before, accidental and on purpose. At the time, it didn't bother me. What I found out that one of the real problems was when a cage would pass me and pull right back in front of me and splash water all over me. I know that I was already wet, but that didn't impress me very much.

I got caught in a downpour going home a couple of weeks ago. I though that I could beat it home, but it got me about a quarter mile from home. It was coming down so hard I could barely see and it felt like someone was throwing sand at my face, and I was only going about 25mph!
Just curious, doesn't your state have laws against wearing headphones when riding? They sure hassle you around here for doing that.

yeah, you aren't suppose to wear headphones, but I do it anyways. I can still hear better than most people drivin their cage. I just sneak em up under my half face mask, can't even tell I've got em on. I actually don't use em that often, mostly I like to hear the wind and my own thoughts....

Way to stick in the saddle, man!! My most intense riding in the rain experience was while I was up your way visiting a friend. Almost there after riding up from Dallas over a few days...and it opens up. Not gonna stop, just another 90 minutes and the trip is done...gonna ride it out. But, man, I know exactly what you mean about rain in the nostrils...and inside my ears...running down inside my goggles...it was an experience. After that, though, my friend and I got out and rode the area over the next few days, and a little sprinkle sure didn't stop me!!
