what type/brand tire pen did you use? my fear is that after a few trips down the road it would look like tammy faye's mascara.

Just something I picked up at Autozone. It's made for it so it won't run. Be sure to clean the letters with Acetone before applying the paint.

I think it looks great. I have seen the wide white walls and they look great on some bikes but have not until today seen it as a raised white letter. I remember spending the extra time with a "brillo pad" to get the white walls looking great when detailing my car as a young man...might take me a little longer to get up from doing that today

Seems to come off pretty easily with Acetone. Also read dry steel wood will take it off.

I don't have the patience, but I convinced my artistic wife to do it for me last winter. Tires were brand new at the time. Didn't really take her too long, maybe 4 hours total for both tires. I used Dunlop Harley Branded tires, I think it looks 70's cool. Reminds me of the XL's and FX's of the time, or even a nice Pontiac with some Cragar SS wheels. It is the little things that make us happy and make our bikes, OURS.

I picked up some tire paint pens a couple weeks ago and got motivated by this thread to do mine.

I got like 3 letters in and said... "F this!" I discovered I do not have the patience. It's all good.

Back in the day I had RWL avengers on my '80 superglide think they were made by Dunlop.
