Other than sound, why would I change my stock pipes??
Please tell me other than the sound factor, why and what benefit would I get from changing my stock pipes?

A very perceptible increase in performance. You will be shocked how much better your bike responds to an air cleaner kit and a set of pipes (and a PowerCommander or similar air/fuel manager if you have EFI). In my mind these are pretty close to mandatory upgrades.

Before I bought mine, I had the chance to ride identical bikes. One had stockers on it and one had true duals. There was a rather noticable difference between them and I knew I had to get the stage one done when I got mine. I went with V&H pro pipe and opted to stay with the street baffle, not a big sound difference but enough to know my neighbors wont be calling the cops at 3 a.m. when I go to work as long as I do my part with the throttle.
Well worth the expense all around.

Imagine blowing as hard as you could out of a stirring straw, then blowing with the same intensity out of garden hose, less effort more volume, more room for more exahust = Power.
I think you should throw some V&H true duals on that bad boy (i think RK's have dual rears??) you will love'em. Free the lungs on your Harley and let'er breath baby !!!
