And if so,where was your first stop? Amarillo? Or is it better to go 35 to KS and across?
Thanks.

In a semi.. from dallas I take us287 to amarillo.. then take the loop around and grab.. ok cant remember exact highways... but you grab a county or state road off the loop to a us hwy, and it takes you to the bottom of raton pass, then you take i25 north. you can also run 35 to kansas, i135 to salina, and 70 across. Guess it depends... scenic route or not. Its pretty scenery once you get into NM.

I've had to make runs between Denver and the Dallas area a number of times..

You can make the complete trip in a long day, as it's only about 860 miles and can be completed in around 13 hours.

Quickest way from the Dallas area to Denver is to take 35N to Wichita, KS (which is about 330 miles). At Wichita you hop on 135N until you hit I-70W at Salina, KS (probably around 90 or so). At Salina you jump on 70W and just follow it into Denver (around 425 miles).
