Best way to check out various seats is rally events and expos. Major manufactures are usually at the big ones like Sturgis, Datona, Laconia etc. Mustang, Corbin, Saddleman etc are usually there as well as a lot of vendors who sell various cushion and pad options. A lot of the vendors will let you try the seat and take it for a spin. Hatrley dealers also let you test ride the seats. There are also usually custom vendors on site who will tailor your stock seat while you wait. I learned a lot about what kind of seats I like and dont like at such events..Given that seats are pretty expansive, it definitely pays to try before you buy if you can. Its easy to churn through seat purchases until you find what you are really after.
