I've seen a lot of the murals posted by Keithhu. I ride downtown quite a bit. There are a lot of really cool murals in Detroit. Every time I see one, I think of this thread.

 

 

Mural hunt Monday. Got a couple of pics from murals along Woodward ave. that I had missed.

 

Very cool, I’ll be there in August for the Woodward Dream Cruise. I’ll look for these and others while I am in town.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m staying in Troy, near a friends house. Will ride down to see these Friday afternoon or Sunday morning. I think we will spend most of Saturday at the Dream Cruise.

 

McCormick SC. Named after Cyrus McCormick. The town was built on a gold mine. Gold mining was done in a large pece of land as recent as 2010. There is an annual festival around the 1st of September called "Gold Rush Festival" that attracts people from all over. They used to do mine tours and panning for gold but I'm not sure if they still do it.
