RE: Will bike fit through 32" door
will be starting a new thread soon, as I too have a 32" door situation - but it aint my building, it's my office @ school - lot's of other factors - most people are leaning toward heated storage - a long time friend said to me "these bikes have been around for a long time - OUTSIDE - heck even @ 150 - 200 when the MOCO started out, that was more of a percentage of anual salery than the 10 - 20 grand people plunk down now (not my figures), people banged them across rutted roads and never left them in a heated storage - they rode um in the snow". - interesting thread - was surprised to find my self even asking this question

Ok I will show all you guys that it can work, you just need a running start at it.
All I need now is someones bike that I can show you on?

Assuming you only need to get through it twice (Once in and once out in the spring) Can you get a couple guys and two small dollies and turn the bars all the way to one side and kinda scooootch it in - Try measuring the widest distance with the bars turned all the way to one side - Make sense? If not I would go with Skos's plan B

RE: Will bike fit through 32" door
update on my 32" door situation - measured the bike with the highway pegs up and the handel bar turned - widest point = 27" - put some casters on a length of double up 2x8, locked the casters - rolled the bike on - instant "Harley dolly" I can spin this baby on a dime and she will spend the coldest days of winter in a nice climate controled 68deg. as my office "guest" - just not yet as I have ridin to do still - ain't no ice on the roads yet, ecept for the beer spillage.

Storage? What the hell does storage have to do with a Harley? If I lived in a place that I had to store my bike, I'd give serious thought to moving! I guess I may not get to ride due to weather, but damn, I hope it aint long enough for me to have to worry about storage. In the dry, seems to be good enough, but climate controlled storage for a motorcycle? Do you need to adopt another kid? If you take care of a bike that well, I can only imagine how you treat your kids. Damn, climate controlled storage for a Harley. What'll they think of next? How long is this storage period where you live. You need to give serious thought to MOVING! hehe
