BMW offers ECALL (Intelligent Emergency Call). A lot of good it would do to have your phone on your person if you were unconscious on the side of a desolate road out in the middle of nowhere after getting broadsided by a critter in the middle of the night. Just sayin'.

Usb plugged into that spot and my phone in my pocket. I don't need to receive phone calls while riding down the road or sitting in the bar for that matter.
