agreed, goof-off or goo-gone(citrus based), available at your local hardware store or wal-mart if you must.....

I spill a little gas on a rag and gently wipe off. Works every time.

Goo Gone is available at Lowe's and I suspect Home Depot. It is even safe for paint (i.e. removing reflectors). You can avoid Wal-Mart.
