Default Clear or lightly smoked Windshield?

OK gang. I need your opinions. I'm in the market for a quick-release windshield. Is it worth the extra $30 - $40 for the lightly smoked windshield. I think this would look good on my pewter pearl Super Glide. My dealer has20% off this weekend, but only for accessories that are in stock. They have the standard-height clear in stock. Thoughts?

More functional than a clear- i dont think so. Do i have one- yes. Look better-i think so.
The light smoke is not really that noticable till it's next to a clear one.
I can hear it in your writing, you want the smoked. The bucks are the only thing holding you back. You know if you get theclear you'll wish you had poped the extra couple of bucks for the lightly smoked at the start but after the fact it will cost you double.

I do alot of night riding. I would never want a smoke shield for this reason, it cuts down on visibility, ofcurse my head is usually above the shield.

So...nevermind.

the slightly smoked windshield isn't enough to cut down visibility during the night time... at least the HD one isn't.. barely even notice it. The smoked one I have is the low profile one, so yeah I can see over it clearly... if ur always looking through it, get clear...the tall ones..

I like my clear, but that's the beauty of owning a bike, you can set it up any way you want. How's it gonna look on your bike, color match etc...

I have smoked on my Lowrider, and the girlfriend has clear on her Sporty.I prefer the smoked. With the clear there is way too much reflection of the tank and chrome. I find it very distracting.I also think smoked looks better.
