Default Favorite Riding Boots

I regard riding boots to be an essential part of my riding platform; damned near as important as good brakes or lights. Good boots can keep you from going down; bad boots can result in poor traction at stops. And of course there is the protection issue. These HD "Electron" boots are the best riding boots that I've found so far, so I thought I would share, in case anyone else wants to check them out. These boots fit true to size, are built for tough riding, and have the side zipper that I like for easy on-and-off. Riding boots are a very individual thing. I have tried an embarrassingly high number of different boot alternatives and so far these have been the best I've found for me. Anyway, for those who might be interested:

Good looking boots and happy feet are important.

I am always shoe/boot envious of you guys being able to just go in and buy boots.
My selection is very limited as I wear 15EEEE.

I wear Redwing boots at work and for riding. Pretty much everyday. They are the most comfortable shoes/boots I have ever worn.

You may be well advised to buy once / cry once and get yourself a custom pair of Wesco's or something. With their goodyear welt all you've got to do, darn near forever, is get em re-soled as often as the need arises.

I really like old style footwear that requires breaking in. Tough as nails and the longer you own em the better they feel, like that comfy old T-shirt your wife can't get you to throw out, they just become part of you.
