Still have my last pair of Corcoran Jump boots I bought out of jump school. No boot on earth looks better boot blacked. The worst boot for PLF are jungle boots. Which is why I'm riding a trike today.

Last year I retired my decades old enginer's boots for some tech. I got the Forma Eagle boots and they rock. Zippered, water proof, grippy and comfortable like crazy. CE rated as a plus. With 2 plates and 10 screws in my left ankle the ankle pads make me feel a little better.

Good Boots and socks are critical for safe and enjoyable riding.

I switched to full water proof boots years ago but just never had that boot I loved. Talked to a few guys and watched the videos and read reviews on StylMartin and WOW. I've been sporting them almost two seasons now and love them. Many will not like the style and I get it. I'm too old now to care bout what they look like. All day and I mean 14 hour comfort, totally DRY, good in 20 degree and 90 degree temps with the right socks is what matters to me. These are expensive compared to many and they are CRAZY STIFF until you break them in. The first full month you just have to force yourself to wear them. Now I would not want to ride witout them. My wife was so impressed with the quality that she has also gone with the same brand. Hers have more feminine styling but are heavy leather, FULL water proof and she loves them now that she has them broken in.

I wear the premium HD socks in the summer and Klim and Rev-It in the winter.

We purchase both pairs from Revzilla.

I would really like to try a pair of Chippewa Rally boots but apparently they are not making them any longer. Have not found any in my size. I have been wearing Thorogood Boots which have been good. The only downside to them is the tongue material hasn't worn well.
