All in all they have held up pretty well IMO, the soles are worn at the ***** of your feet and some on the heels. I took a Dermal tool and ground new tread in those two places since there is plenty of rubber left.

I saw somewhere that Speed & Strength appears to be coming out with a new version of this style of boot sometime this year. I'll be checking those out.

I like the look of those. How's the protection seem? I too am needing a boot that will work with chinos or khakis. Anyone else have any recommendations?

People cannot understand one important thing: you invest around 400$ and then have a pair of shoes for over 15 years. Instead, they invest 10-20$ on pair and need to change it every season.

I really like old style footwear that requires breaking in. Tough as nails and the longer you own em the better they feel, like that comfy old T-shirt your wife can't get you to throw out, they just become part of you.

.
+1 for Wesco boots

Tourmaster Air Solution for summer and Tourmaster WP Solution for winter. I've been wearing these for over 15 years now (not the same pairs).

I used to wear TCX/Oxtar's before, but they doubled in price! Made the switch to Tourmaster.
