If I see someone on my bike I assume they are attempting to steal it and act accordingly.

You can even go light and use the reason of, " if you were to drop it, its expensive as hell to fix so lets just avoid it altogether"

In "essence" what I'm suggesting, is to let your mind rule your emotions,,, or not. Its not like I really care. This is an opinion forum no ?

I was polite at first thinking he was going to apologize and get off but he took an attitude with me about “that guy” and I had to get a little more aggressive to get him to get off of it. I’m the only one at this place who owns a bike which is new to me because I used to hang out with people who owned their own and know to be a little more respectful. I tried not to make too big a deal about it because we have mutual friends but it really made me want to throw down. Am I just overreacting?
You were a good deal more 'gentle' than I have been or would have been. I did get to school a young guy here the other day though about that kind of thing. He didn't touch or sit on my bike, but as he was moving some stuff off a trailer hitched to his truck he hollered over to me as I got off my bike after just pulling in and parking across the drive from him 'when was I going to let him ride my bike'.

After I got all my gear off and put away I walked over there and started to just shoot the **** and also told him that asking is okay, in a way, but that those of us who are scooter tramps have been asked that so many times it's grating on the nerves and I told him normally if I didn't know you I would have aksed him back if I could ride his ol' lady. He got the picture and was cool about it, so he learned something and we had a laugh about it and then I tried as best as I could to help him finish unloading his trailer (he was moving most of his house stuff into a storage place so he had a lot and a lot of heavy stuff too and he was grateful I helped as no one else was offering).

thing about it is with everyone else watching and you just stood there and did nothing it just shows them you really dont care. i would have said get the *** off my bike buts only because hes a friend you say? and i would not say it again, i would have knocked his *** off. but we are all different. you need to say what you mean and mean what you say. some of us are bikers and others weekend warriors

When angry, I don't see anything except red. Maybe it's a flaw, maybe it's why I've been to prison (call it what you will) but nobody would dare touch my personal property because they know what's about to happen. My bike is on full display of who I ride with and who I am, if by chance I'm not there, there's another 10 of me nearby to take care of business in my absence.

I need a program to follow along with the answers. I have the attention span of a new puppy.
How many stabbings?
How many ***-kickings?
How many wife bangings?
I did see one response about calling the police...what a *****.
If anybody is still keeping track, put me down for one "Cripple-them-for-life", please.
Thank you. You may continue.

I think one was Mulatto the other hispanic, either way no matter, I said "nice bike isn't it?" they turned around giggled, and stepped away, i got on fired it up, rode away.

I don't think I was going to "kick their ***" as they were female type and persuasion, that wouldn't go over well when LEO showed up This will happen especially with immigrants they think everything in America is free, and they plead ignorance/cant speak English when the police show up. Best thing, really is to park the bike where you can see it, and don't park too far away from where you are.Without these ideal situations/conditions, who knows what happens to your bike when it is out of sight?
