yup everyone would have expected it. He would have a muzzle print on his forehead from my sidearm. $hit like that will get you killed.
just brandishing a firearm can be a felony in many areas. Risking a felony due to someone sitting on your bike....then risking potentially being prosecuted in civil or criminal court...then potentially sued...you'd be far better off cracking him in the jaw

Reason: typo
**** like that could get you killed. Or at least locked up for a while.
Anyone who would draw their weapon on somebody for sitting on a motorcycle gives all CCW holders a black eye and should not be carrying a weapon of any kind.
Yea, but were they trying to steal it or damage it ? You have the right to protect your property.
Maybe give them a good pistol whipping too.

I wouldn't say a thing, just walk up to him and literally punch him square in the face and throw him off , then when he's on the ground kick the living sh&t out of him. Then calmly get on the scoot and ride away.
See! THAT"S what I'm talking about. If we all shot people just to watch them die.....well...…...we would be in Chicago!
Chicago IS a violent city. Highest murder rate in the nation for years. I once threw a brick at a rat there, and it threw it back at me. Anyways, in Chicago the mass transit system is become a danger to ride. Plenty of camera's to take blurry pictures of what happened to you before you got killed, but very few prosecutions. It's a corrupt city run-a muck. It's just another sanctuary city where the law protects the felons...beware.

Well from the OP the guy was a friend sitting on the bike. And even if he was stealing it, is that really justification for deadly force?
Not in my mind, but then again I’m not a Billy Badass like so many tough guys on here.

If someone is stealing your motorcycle, you have the right to legally detain them until the authorities are summoned. Auto theft (attempt) is a property crime at best, and if you try to stop them, and they overcome your presence with force, then it is a strongarm robbery. Perhaps a theft from person the way Chicago reports crime. It would be hard to prove deadly force as justifiable in any case. Putting your gun to someone's head is Aggravated Assault on your part. Pistol whipping them is aggravated battery with a weapon. Basically, for the CCW holder your life or another's needs to be found in imminent danger. On the street, it's one thing. On CTA property, It's illegal to CCW on Chicago Mass Transit so you risk charges your self.
