Uh... No.
400 horse sets you back in the seat. And that's the best built Lotus I've ever owned. Everything is top quality from the factory, from the Edlebrock supercharger to the stainless braided brake hoses. It's like, there's nothing to add or mod.

Oh, the Trumpet (boo hiss) came in pieces with the knucklehead. I put it together and gave it to my friend Rod for a wedding present. He didn't know I was doing that. He had a Triumph 500 before but his (first) ex wife made him sell it. He longed after that bike. I would work on the Bonneville in my garage and he'd come over and sit on the bare frame. He'd say "I had Z bars on mine..." The next day, I would have gone through my piles of stuff and put some Z bars on it. He'd look and say "Mine was purple." We went to the auto paint store and found a gallon of beautiful metalflake purple in the "oops - on sale" pile for $20. Finally, when he got married, we were out at sea on a container ship running down to South America. They got married in Georgia and his new (not yet ex) wife told him that I gave him the bike for a wedding present. He wanted to leave immediately and go back to Texas for his bike. That wife is gone but he still has the bike 35 years later.

Linda has a rule: No women in the Lotus. You would have to ask her first. Someone (with 3+ marriages under her belt) asked me once how we managed to stay together for 36 years. I said "I put up with her ****, she puts up with mine."

LOL'd at your marriage success secret. I always say I'm a PITA and so is my wife (second wife), so we just figure those traits negate each other and we just get along (been together 29 years now).
And yeh, I want a ride in the Lotus too!
