dawg
dawg aka Braedon (pronounced bray-den) or "Brad" is our NEW MOM.
He has been married for the last 29 years to Bobbi Jo, a registered nurse. They have 2 daughters, a 28 year old and a 25 year old. Both children are married. They now have 4 grandchildren, all girls. Brad and Bobbi Jo also have 2 spoiled female chihuahuas.
Brad has owned 4 street motorcycles and 1 dirt bike as a kid. The first was a Honda CB175 (at age 16). In March of 2006 he purchased an ‘04 Electra Glide Classic as an anniversary present to the both of them. In August of ‘07 he traded that in for an ’08, the 105th anniversary Ultra. In June of 2019 he traded that in for a ‘19 Road Glide Ultra.
When asked which bike was his favorite, Brad said “I’ve loved them all and miss them as well for various reasons as I had made several mods (both comfort and power) to each.”
Brad is the only one that touches his bike. If it is a modification, he does it himself. A regularly scheduled maintenance? He does it himself. Tire changes? Handlebar adjustments? Cams? Electrical? That is ALL Brad, Brad, Brad, Brad, Brad. In fact, he enjoys working on bikes so much, he often works on other bikers’ Harley Davisons as well.
You might say dawg is also a bit spoiled. He has been to EVERY major biker event in the USA at least once. Sturgis? Did it. Daytona? “Been there, done that.” Laconia? Did it. Myrtle Beach? Did it. Oh, talking about Myrtle Beach, I have to “rat Brad out”. Read on…….
Brad’s most memorable ride was back in 2007 with his wife Bobbi Jo. They were riding straight through in 1 long ride from central Vermont to Myrtle Beach, SC for the Myrtle Beach Bike Week. Underestimating how long it would take with the bike stops; somewhere around 11:30 PM on a 4 lane highway just outside of Myrtle Beach, as they were zipping down the highway, Brad fell asleep while riding. YIKES!!! Yup, head nod and all. zzzZZZZzzzzzzz
Last year they had another memorable ride to Junction City, Kansas to see one of their daughters. (No head nodding this time.) They took a leisurely 4 day ride to get there and leisurely 4 day ride back. They tent camped 2 of the 3 nights each way and had a blast seeing several western states by bike.
When Brad is not riding, he is enjoying motorhoming and cooking. He does all of their cooking and looks forward to trying new recipes.
Dawg is a Rotarian with the local Rotary Club and is active in the community. He plays Santa Claus yearly and his wife plays Mrs. Claus for the Town’s annual “Skate with Santa,” as well as playing Santa for his grandkids.
Annually (like he is not busy enough), he plays “train conductor” for the Rotary’s annual Polar Express rail event.
Since 2006, Brad has belonged to the Vermont chapter of the Road Dawgs Motorcycle Club (an LE club) where he is currently the president.
Again, my friends, please help us welcome Brad to our July 2020 MOM.
From the HDF staff, CONGRATULATIONS Brad!

A truly great pick for MOM! And I'm glad he has enough time to stop in and share his experiences with us. But the write up said nothing of what he does in his "spare" time!!! Congrats there sir, I salute you. And thank you for your service as a peace officer. That doesn't get said enough any more.
