HDF Is Happy To Present Our NEWEST Member Of The Month

For The Month Of June

Please Help Us Welcome

TriGeezer

TriGeezer aka Jeff, married his college sweetheart 44 years ago. They happily reside in Carlsbad, California for the past 7 years.

Jeff has 2 married daughters and 3 grand children ages 10, 7, & 7. Only Jeff rides. One of Jeff’s grandsons will ride with him when his grandson is 25 years old.

Jeff started riding in the late 70s and early 80s for the main purpose of commuting to work in upstate New York provided it was not raining or snowing. Then in 2012 he rolled back into riding again. For the following eight years, making up for lost time, he ran up 100,000 miles of some excellent riding.

Recently he rode a ’17 M8 Road King, and a ’17 M8 EG Ultra Limited. But has settled more into his Ultra Limited.

He has owned a ’73 Honda 125, 2000 Honda 250, 2012 HD Tri Glide, 2017 HD Road King, and is currently enjoying this 2017 HD EG Ultra Ltd.

Where did he get his Road Name “TriGeezer” you might ask? Well, when he joined HD Forums, he was riding a ’12 Tri Glide and needed a road name. And being an old “geezer”, he thought, how fitting “TriGeezer” would be. And so it was.

The Tri Glide was one of his favorite bikes. It is credited for getting his wife back into riding after a 30 year hiatus. After some memorable rides, Jeff gave up the three wheels for two.

Sometimes upon the sale of a bike, one has regrets or the infamous buyer’s remorse. But not so with Jeff. There are no regrets…. the next one is now the one he really wants. But pushed to pick a favorite of all of his bikes, the Tri Glide edges the others out of first place.

One of his more memorable rides is up through Montana last summer. The “Going To The Sun Road” and ride through Glacier National Park then down into Yellowstone, crossing Idaho on the northwest passage by way (Route 12) was nothing short of AWESOME.

But even that ride does not meet the highlights of his fall 2018 epic ride. Jeff and his wife planned to meet a few friends from Florida in Texas. Jeff and his wife rode from San Diego on his new limited into Texas where they encountered record rainfall and near freezing temperatures. Jeff said one or the other may have been tolerable but riding through torrential rains at 35° was as epic and as memorable as it could ever be. They looked like that Jamaican guy walking outside in Calgary in the movie “Cool Runnings”. They were wearing everything they could fit into. The entire stretch going across Texas was nothing besides heavy rains and very cold temperatures.

That is ice on the saddle below.

His ideal ride is to take one entire month and tour Alaska, returning through the Canadian Rocky Mountains with his wife. His wife is presently not so keen on the idea of that particular ride or even if Jeff were to go with some friends. But it will be a ride that “will be had”.

Jeff was with the PGR’s in 2015.

After retiring he moved to San Diego in 2013, and found he had some free time on his hands. Since he never served in the military but has always been a patriot, he thought he would like to do something to help and honor the veterans.

After posting in HD forums his desire it was suggested he look into the Patriot Guards. He officially joined in 2015 and has been proudly and very actively riding with them ever since. In fact, so much so, for the last three years he has been a Ride Captain.

When not involved with motorcycles, he enjoys keeping up with politics, reading fiction especially thriller related books, walking the dog, hanging out on the beach, and paddle boarding when it is not an imprisonable offense.

Again my friends, please help us welcome Jeff as our June 2020 MOM.

From the HDF Staff, CONGRATULATIONS Jeff!

Now play nice. Release your MOM Tag to the Geezer TriGeezer.

Come on. You can do it. Or come to me, I will shake it out of you.
