I do not know how dealers are pricing new models in the 2008 line-up, but I have priced the 2008 touring bikes. All 4 dealers that I contacted quoted me MSRP in the Houston area. This of course does not apply to the anniversary models.

 

Paris Harley sells for MSRP and only adds Harley freight. No other bullshit to the price.

Been talkin to a dude that's a salesman on another forum, he goes by the name of lo-ridah . He said he can make some deals on the 07 bikes and acccessories. The 08's are going for Msrp. He's in Sulphur, Louisiana.

 

Longhorn Harley In Grand Prarie sells at MSRP and will toss in free 1K services and also will lower
your freight and set-up from 1K down to around $400. Shane is the Manager and the owners son, and will do whatever it takes to seal the deal.Also get a beautifull 11x14 Etched glass plaque with your bike and Vin# on it a few weeks after the sale.

 

I bought my Sportster from Dallas HD last year. I will say that I went in and mentioned the out of the door price that the dealership in Corinth quoted and they met it, though that was buying an '06 in June last year. That being said, however, if you want to avoid that negotiation it's like he said. The Carrollton and Corinth dealerships both just have the ~$300 setup fee, but don't have the $700 or whatever that I saw on the quotes at Dallas HD.

 

Shreveport Harley is just across the border in LA and they sell at MSRP. I boughta new bike there in '06, and 2 friends bought from ShreveportwhenI took them there.

 

be careful though.they may sell it at msrp,but strategically elevate setup and freight charges and underwater basketweaving and whatever else charges.try your damndest not to pay those.stick it to the man,as harley has been saying lately.

 

The days of Harley dealers selling for "over" MSRP are pretty much over....for every 1 dealer that you find still doing it......you will find 5 that sell at MSRP
