I wonder about things like EPA, warranty, price, will the dealer be allowed to install it, etc.
The picture of the parts shown looks pretty much like the existing Stage IV kit, but with bigger cylinders and pistons. My guess is that the answer to all your questions is: fully street legal, fully EPA approved, fully covered under the same warranty as all Screamin' Eagle parts, and probably requires dealer installation.
What kind of numbers does it make? Is it touring or Softail?
We don't know yet; Steve Cole tried to read the numbers on a fuzzy printout and it looked like it's in the ballpark of 126/128 or something (see earlier in the thread). Someone else said the kit for a 2018/2019 Softail was costing $3495; there's no doubt there will also be a kit for the touring bikes.
when I was looking for a bike I ran across this Bourget Fat Daddy with a R&R 131 CI. It was a beast, but the bike only wanted to go straight due to the floppy front end. R&R prices start at $13,000
Its funny that harley is the only mfg that sells a engine that should be standard equipment in there bike. Not an upgrade
This is the truth ! And on top of that they will let their customers be the test pigs for their short comings in design. That engine had better be cheap in price or i wouldn't understand why anyone wouldn't opt. for an S&S engine for a few more bucks.
