Free is a very good thing.

I used to use my molded ear plugs that I also wear at work, they worked the best for me. I lost one of them so now I just use foam inserts. They don't work as well, but I can get them for free and free is a good thing.

You may want to check www.bigearinc.com. I just got a set recently and really like them for the comfort level and their anti-bacterial. I don't think the cut out any more sound than other types though and they are pricey ( about $80).
You have to find someone in your area that sells them because their custom made ear plugs. You can check on their site for your area dealer.

If your wearing the right kind of ear plug, I use the foam ones you roll up, you will hear in much greater detail! Not the oppisite. By cutting out the wind noise you can now truly hear the bike, you can hear your passemger without an intercom and you can hear other traffic beeping, screeching tires, etc. There is an ADDED BENNIFIT to ear plugs. Less Fatigue! Ihave ridded with and without them. I don't get tired when I have them in, I don't suffer any ear damage and they are cheeper than hearing aids.
OH! FYI...I wear a Full Face too. If you think a Full Face is good, try putting a set of plugs in before hand. Helmets have holes around the ear so your ear can fit in there. They do not offer much for ear protection.
My 2 cents

You guys that claim your full-face helmet cuts the wind noise must have a better helmet than I do. My full-face is almost as loud as my half-helmet. At highway speeds I can't hearmy own bike. And my wife says her full-face helmet howls.
I've started using sound-isolating ear buds with my mp3 player. Now the wind racket is gone and I have tunes besides.I can alsostill hear traffic around me, as I don't turn the music up that loud(and I can even hear my bike ).
