I use to use the little foam plugs but at the Midwest Rally our booth was next toa guy making the fitted ear plugs. Best $40.00 I ever spent.

Yep, the foam earplugs are just fine. They form-fit to your ear as they expand and keep out that dreadful wind-noise at freeway speeds. I find that I can hear BETTER with the plugs in than I can without them. The exhaust noise is still heard, dont worry about that...

I used to use my molded ear plugs that I also wear at work, they worked the best for me. I lost one of them so now I just use foam inserts. They don't work as well, but I can get them for free and free is a good thing.

I use custom made earplug speakers from "Now Hear This" (google for website). Took the standard HD headset, cut the wires to the speakers and put in a female jack and plug in the speakers. Blocks road noise, lets me listen to audio from radio, CB,XM or GPS or the Mrs. in the back. Purists laugh, but after 26 years in the Army, trying to protect what little hearing I have left. Ride Safe!
