Did you know that Harley-Davidson's HQ was voted among the coolest places to work?

It must be a great place to work. Their Information Technology department totally hosed up their parts system upgrade and they don't seem to give a rats a$$. There's **** I ordered Oct 24th that I still don't have.

Cross-thread points?

I know a few people that work there. It's a job like anywhere else, only in English.
The regimen in the work cells makes the cool factor wear off quick.

People may enjoy working at HD Corporate. But it is never as fun working at a contracting company vs a growing company.

Pay raises slow down and there is little room for advancement.
IT investments are deferred, so much of the job content is consumed with extracting useful information from ancient systems.
Because there is no growth, office politics become more prevalent since that's the only way to advance.

Guess it depends what dept and what you do. My bud is an Electrical Engineer and has been putting the Livewire through the paces all over the states. Sound pretty damn cool to me.
