Why's a chop gotta have chrome and a sissy paint job?
Chop = cuttin' on the frame to rake it.
Bob = strippin' the garbage barge crap off.
Magazine chops = chrome and sissy paint job.
Everyone knows that the only true HD chop/bob color is black, preferably from a Rustoleumrattle can!

My understanding is Bobber are stripped down and choppers are chopped down. Choppers have the parts chopped and changed in soem way while a bobber is just stripped of the non essentials.
Thats the way I was brought up.

This might be a stupid question, but what makes a bike a "bobber" and what makes a bike a "chopper'? I've tried looking them up on the internet, and the results seem to use the terms as synonyms. Any ideas?
