I did post this thread as a humorous look at Old men complaining. But your posts aren't funny. And they are whiny. Don't quit your day job, whatever it is you do.
Some people come here to speak about ideas, and share experiences. I find your posts irrelevant, disconnected and without continuity. Why do you even bother to post escapes me. Did you do it just to call people names and label them anonymously? Some big man U are... Now, can we get back to the thread???

You again BOB? lol! Bob, you only seem to post about your PERSONAL disdain for me. Can you try to post something relevant to a thread once in a while?

Time for another polarizing thread. lol! Why do riders "lower" their motorcycles? Is it about the Look? Because it sure cant be about performance. It may be good for Drag bikes. How do you take a long trip on a lowered motorcycle with two people? Does it ever scrape in the corners?
Only a modest lowering.
Replaced the stock air shocks with premium lowering shocks from the Street Glide and replaced the stock RK Classic seat with a standard RK seat, more scooped out and a bit narrower to let me get more firmly planted. (Short legs for my height)
I ride mostly solo, cuz my wife rides her own.
And no, it doesn't scrape.
i gave up trying to act like Kenny Roberts a long time ago.

In your OP you also mentioned performance.
There are two ways to look at that as far as lowering goes.
A taller bike will have more POTENTIAL lean angle. ....
But if you're not an aggressive rider who doesn't ride a bike up to its full potential....what's the point?
Especially if the height makes it difficult to manage in low speed maneuvering?
A lower bike has a lower center of gravity which makes real world handling easier for the 95% of Harley riders who don't pretend that they're on a sport bike.
If cornering performance was that high on our list of priorities....
We wouldn't be riding cruisers in the first place.
