I was pulled over once just so the cops could check out the bike , both were riders and wanted to talk shop one of them was building a bike . Ticket wise haven't had one in 20 yrs , learned real young if your going to fuc up make sure you won't get caught and my cop radar seems to work real well still .

Check this out..
I came out from a little Irish pub on the edge of town and started to head home through the country roads. Only about 3 blocks out of town I get lit up by a county deputy. My tail light was out. Now this was late on a Saturday night, after leaving the bar where I did have a couple so probably enough to trip the breathalyzer. He just asked where I live and if I was staying on the back roads, then let me go....HERE IS WHERE IT GETS WEIRD....
One year later...a Saturday night....same bar....leaving same road....pulled over again for same thing...different deputy. Same results; just asked me to take it easy on the way home.
Soon as I could I went and bought a tail light lens that was guaranteed not break from the vibration of my softail. Both of those stops could have turned into something much worse.

This was on a sport bike twenty something years ago: I was in Alabama heading south about a mile from the Florida border doing about 75mph (55mph speed limit) when I passed an Alabama State Trouper going the other way. I figured by the time he turned around I would be in Florida so I just kept going. Later in the day, back in Alabama I was slowing down from about 105mph after passing some cars and came across the same Trouper. He hit his lights spun around and pulled me over. First words out of his mouth were "I've been looking for you since this morning". He had me sit in the front seat of his patrol car, it was a very hot day and the first thing I did was thank him for pulling me over and letting me sit in his nice air conditioned car. I had a nice long chat with the officer and he let me go without giving me a ticket.

I've gotten more warnings than tickets. And that not counting the ones that didn't actually pull me over. I was about 18 and got stopped one night doing more than 90 in a 55. The cop asked where I had been and where I was going. He about choked when I told him I was 120 miles into a 130 mile trip, then told me since I had made it through all the other counties without a ticket he didn't want to be the ***** that wrote me up so close to home.
I said thank you.

Nope never, every time I've been pulled over (auto, truck or mc) I have gotten written up, every single time and I'm calling BS on these stories of 100+mph and just being warned, LOL!

This is the kiss of death I know, but I've never been pulled over on the bike. My cars however are a different story. I'm usually successful in only getting a warning about a third of the time. Last one was for73 in a 45, but the MOTORCYCLE Deputy that pulled me wrote me up for 49 in a 45 because of my "good attitude." Ironically., I was on my way to participate in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Happens a lot. In Milwaukee they call it driving while white.
If your out late in some parts of town LOE will stop you claim your tail light was out ,accuse you of being out to buy drugs, then ask how much you been drinking.
After you prove you just on your way to work and they had their fun with you you ride away.
In Wisconsin LOE must record race of all stops they make so to stay out of trouble they make sure they stops lots of whites.
current Governor wants to stop the requirement.

Think that depends on the area and the size of the town you live in man . I made a midnight run one time when living in the midwest pushing triple digits or above for a good part of it , was in the house and just picked up a beer when the cops banged on my door . Asked where I had been , we both knew the bike was still popping and pinging in the yard . Said he chased for a few miles but I was well ahead , ended up getting a very stern lecture and a warning time they would mail me sunlight I'd get locked up so deep .

On the flip side I've had one come out of the car with gun in hand for 2 mph over too .

I have never been pulled over on my bike yet. But when I was about 22 I was riding up I-77 from Akron at 2 am with 3 of my friends in the car going about 105 in my 66 Fairlane 500XL with the top down and the radio blasting and a State Trooper comes cruising up along side of us...we looked at him and he looked at us and gave us the finger and zoomed away. No lights, no stop nothing.....I slowed down to 65, turned down the music and went home.
