Pulled over by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on my way back from Texas on the 15th July. Given a warning for going over 10 miles an hour. ID myself as an LEO cause I had a gun in the Truck... Professional attitude always works for me..........

Yeah, as a kid of 15, me and a bud bugged out of town on our motorcycles one evening to ride 90 miles to see a couple of girls in Enid, OK. No taillights,a trooper pulls us over. He pretty well knows we have no business being where we are. He calls my bud's Dad who drives up to pick us up. Takes the backseat out of his huge old Pontiac and crams the two bikes in the back and takes us back to town.
Trooper knew we were gonna catch all kinds of parental hell, so we got no tickets.[] It was a kinder and gentler time back then!!!

Awhile back in another thread I told about being stopped for 6 over on a main street of a little town & the officer asked if I'd been drinking. I said,
"Sure, lots of times but not yet tonight." I wasn't from that area but because he already knew who I was staying with, he let me go.

Every time I have been pulled over I got a ticket except this one time in a small town. I was cruising along the river and didn't notice that the speed limit dropped from 35 to 25.
I always try to act respectfull but usually get the ticket anyway.
My oldest brother had the uniform (Navy) save his butt one time. He was on his way back to New London Conneticutt where his sub was based and was running late. He was driving his 1970 Plymouth Cuda on the NY state thruway at 2AM with the speedo pegged. He passed a cop and the flashers came on. The cop asked if he had any idea how fast he was going. He said 80-85? The cop laughed out loud. Told him to take it easy and get back to base safe.

As a kid I wasa screw up, had tickets for everything under the sun, had warnings for everything under the sun. I've alsobeen sent on my way many times with no ticket as well. It's all good, I deserved all the tickets I got and then some. The guy was doing what he does and i was doing what i did. Lived in a lot of states and countries and can honestly say that i've never had a law officer treat me unfairly. Considering all the times i didn't get a ticket i'd say i was ahead.
