Yes, back in the 1960's it was similar to the black power raised fist. Considered a solidarity salute, power to the bikers. Faded out in the 1970's.

For the record...I work for a living too brother. I didn’t make it out of my first marriage with much.

I joke about the CVO because I know it gets a rise out of some folks.

I realize my ‘custom’ bike is just a stock bike with lots of extras. I don’t feel the need to tell you to **** off in order to enjoy it.

My buddy I ride with waives so I don't have to. When alone I give a nod to the waive.
I think this crap was started by Honda riders in 1972, I don't remember all this waiving going on back then.

I wave regardless of what the other person is riding. I wave to trikes and Slingshots. It took a lot of years, obstacles, and some tragedy for me to get on 2 wheels. When I wave, I'm respecting whatever it took for the other person to become a rider. It's not always a simple process.

98% of the time people wave back. About the only exception is when there's a local event and there are hundreds of bikes out. After 10 waves in the 1st half mile it gets tiring for everybody.

If you don’t wave your either an old carmudgeon or a young punk.
Its up to you to decide which one you’ll be.

You can tell he's not Canadian because the only way we can ride up here without a helmet is if we wear a turban.

On the occasional Sunday afternoon ride, my hand is going around like a windmill waving at all the riders. It's tiring!
